Humble bee farm is unfortunately closed at present, following government guidelines re covid19. We have therefore had to put our events calendar on hold, until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.
Our 2020 events calendar kicks off in February and lasts until December, and this year we’ve got so much variety, there’s something for everyone!
Valentine’s Weekend takes place from Friday 14th February … stay with us for a romantic getaway!
Our first nature event takes place on 22nd February, when participants can become a Habitat Helper during the first Half Term of the year.
Then in March it’s lambing time and weekends during this busy month feature Farmer Percy in the Lambing Shed. This is one of our most popular experiences as you will see the magical event of new lambs – and maybe some calves – arriving into the big, wide world.
Mother’s Day weekend takes place from 21st March, and Easter falls in April, so we start celebrating this special time of year from Wednesday 8th April with a number of events, including Exciting Eggs, an Owl and Hare Ramble and a Bushcraft session.
As 2020 is a year of many historical commemorations, we’re marking the 75th anniversary of VE Day from Friday 8th May.
If you love walking, then put your best foot forward with our very first Walking Weekend from 16th May.
For the May Half Term, there’s a chance to take part in our Bushcraft session and also our exciting Planet Watch event.
Father’s Day weekend takes place from Friday 19th June with a special event on the 20th June and then we’re almost into the summer holidays.
Our events calendar for July and August is full of fun nature-inspired events, and take place on regular dates throughout the summer holidays. These include Wildlife Trails, Mini Best Adventures, Flower Power & Butterly Bonanzas and becoming a Nature Detective.
Before we know it, harvest-time is here and we then enjoy the autumn months. We have events in September, followed by our Dinosaur & Fossi Day on 3rd October.
We are just in the process of finalising details for our Gin Tasting event on 17th October, more details to follow.
Then from 24th October, we have our celebrated Pumpkin Patch and Halloween Trail here at Humble Bee farm.
We love our starry skies and on 24th October, join us for our Stargazing event.
Our main Halloween event takes place 31st October and our Bonfire Night Extravaganza Weekend from on 7th November.
Then we’ll have our Christmas Events in December, including our popular Santa’s Grotto on 12th December 2020.
Some of our events have ticket prices, with a handful open to the public and many events are free for guests staying on site with us. We work closely with Yorkshire Coast Nature and Hidden Horizons, who both have talented teams who help us put on these amazing events.
