Things to Do and See While Staying at Humble Bee Farm
Humble Bee Farm hot tub glamping, camping and cottages are located close to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington on the Yorkshire Coast.
With entertainment venues and places to visit close by, there is something for everyone throughout the year, including Autumn and Winter.
There are lots of festive events including Pantomimes at Scarborough Spa, the Whitby Pavilion and Scarborough YMCA. A couple that we recommend are:
The North Bay Railway in Scarborough is also hosting its Christmas events.
Scarborough’s new Light Festival also takes in the run up to Christmas.
Filey Fishtive Tree – Fileys Giant Fishtive Tree on coble landing is made out of lobster/crab pots and all things fishy built by the town’s businessmen to celebrate the towns heritage, with decorations provided by filey school children and youth groups. A must see if you are visiting this time of year!
Other local venues that offer a mix of entertainment include Scarborough Spa, the Scarborough YMCA and the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
From rock to Tina Turner, from astronauts to BBC Radio’s “I’m sorry I haven’t a clue”, and from the world-famous jazz festival to big names like The Drifters, check out the Spa’s website for more information.
The Stephen Joseph Theatre is an iconic venue in Scarborough is host to the latest films, plays, and live performances.
This new event will start on 15th November and will last until 23rd December 2023.
It will include a drone display over Scarborough Castle on 18th November; a Winter Lights trail around Peasholm Park, 15th November to 23rd December and much more.

Oliver’s Mount Racing
This popular road racing circuit is a must for motorbike racing fans!
2023’s calendar kicks off in April and continues throughout the summer and early Autumn.
These amazing events take place in May, June, July and August. Next year’s dates are also in the pipeline.
Scarborough Museums Trust
Fossil Handling, Seascape Painting, Carboniferous Creepy Crawlies and more – you can rely on us for a packed summer activity programme, at Scarborough Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum.
Scarborough Pride takeds place on 30th Septmeber.
Scarborough Surf Festival takes place in late September.
With its Abbey, Dracula connection and its stunning scenery, Whitby is well worth a visit.
The Abbey will host its illuminated buildings event in the October Half Term.
Filey is also becoming very well known for its Food Festivals, which take place several times a year.
The next dates are October 14th and 15th 2023.
East Yorkshire … A Whole County To Enjoy!
Just a few miles down the road, you will find yourself in another county, East Yorkshire, home to Beverley, Driffield, Hull and other towns.
Flamborough is also close by where you can explore the stunning Lighthouse.
Sledmere House is a short drive away.
Burton Agnes is also close by with a history dating back to the 12th Century.
Burton Constable is another stunning country house which has welcomed the 21st Century with its popular outdoor cinema showing family favourites and box office hits.
Sewerby Hall and Gardens is another firm favourite here in East Yorkshire with its house, gardens and zoo.
Malton and Pickering
Malton is a lovely market town include monthly food markets and food festivals.
Pickering includes the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which celebrates 50 years this year.
