1. The Humble Bee beach hut is to be used only between the hours of 9am to 7pm. NO OVERNIGHT STAYS PERMITTED. The key is to be collected from Humble Bee Farm Reception on first day of hire. A £10 refundable deposit is required when collecting the key.
  2. The driving and/or parking of motor vehicles is strictly prohibited on the promenade between the hours of 10 am and 5pm and 6 pm to 8 am (except for Authorised Vehicles). Cars can be used for dropping off or picking up goods only, with a maximum stay of 15 minutes. Access is controlled by the Scarborough Borough Council, access may be denied during storms, high seas, emergencies etc.
  3. All children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
  4. The customer must NOT damage, scratch or deface the beach hut in any way and must not deposit any refuse or rubbish near any hut other than in the bins provided on the promenade. The beach hut must be kept in a neat and tidy condition at all times and be left in the same condition as at the time of the commencement of the stay. Failure to do so will incur a charge.
  5. Electric is available by the purchase of payment cards. The electricity must not be overloaded.
  6. The beach hut booking MUST NOT transferred directly or indirectly to any other person.
  7. The beach hut may only be used in such numbers as do not obstruct other hut users, excessive numbers and spreading in front of other huts is not permitted. Please keep noise to a sensible level.
  8. Humble Bee Leisure is not be liable for any loss or damage to property or any personal injury arising out of the use of the hut.
  9. Any radio/audio or musical instrument must be played in such a way so as not to be a nuisance to the users of adjoining huts.
  10. The use of barbeques is permitted with consideration to other users, coals must not be disposed of on site, and any disposal BBQs must be removed and disposed of in a safe manner.
  11. Dogs are permitted in the beach hut, however they should be under control at all times and not in a position to block walkways. Each hut is allowed a maximum of two dogs, all waste must be immediately with removed from site and placed in dog litter bins nearby. Please check Scarborough Borough Council for any dog restrictions on local beaches.
  12. No glass is permitted outside the beach hut, please use plastic containers only.
  13. Public toilet facilities are available in the Beach Management Centre. The site is fully covered by CCTV and remote monitoring at all times.
  14. In the event of a breach of ANY of the conditions of use the owner can without refund recover possession of the hut giving the customer minimum notice to that effect.
  15. The owner may terminate the booking at any time giving one week’s written notice to the customer. If such notice is given by the owner, the owner will refund to the customer the proper proportion of the price. No refunds will be paid in the event of a breach by the customer. Upon termination the customer will remove all their belongings by the end of the day after which they give approval to the Owner to remove any items and dispose of them without compensation.
  16. The Customer will be responsible for ensuring that during his/her period of use the conditions of any policy of insurance affecting the beach hut and any rules or regulations made by the owner under the clauses below affecting the hut are observed.
  17. The Customer will pay the Owner the cost of all loss or damage caused to the hut or any of the contents belonging to the owner.
  18. No sign or structure shall be fixed on or displayed from the hut.
  19. The Owner may make rules and regulations affecting the use of the beach huts and the common areas between them from time to time at its discretion and will provide a copy (if requested) of such rules and regulations to the Customer
  20. The Owner reserves the right for its authorised agents to enter or inspect any hut and for that purpose to remove any lock or fastening to undertake necessary and to do anything which, in the opinion of the Owner may be necessary for ensuring the proper use of the Customer beach hut.
