Humble Bee Farm is just a few miles from the spectacular Yorkshire Coast.

As well as beaches and sandcastles, there's ice creams and sometimes even the chance of a donkey ride or two!

An autumn walk or bike ride provides low cost entertainment for the whole family and our coast provides some of the best views in the country.

There's lots of other ideas to tempt you to a half term break here at Humble Bee Farm this October. Indoor or outdoor entertainment, there's something for everyone.

There is Alpamare Waterpark which has indoor pools and slides on the north side of Scarborough.

Scarborough's famous Peasholm Park and North Bay Railway are just a few yards from each other and offer a fabulous way to entertain the kids.

Scarborough's Sea Life Sanctuary is also a firm family favourite, again on Scarborough's north side and an excellent indoor attraction.

Scarborough also includes the historic Rotunda Museum and the intriguing Art Gallery, both near the town centre.

If you love surfing, then bring your board or you can hire one from several surfing schools in the area.

Further afield, there's the North Yorkshire Moors Railway that runs trains between Pickering and Whitby.

In Whitby, how about a trip up the famous 199 steps to the Abbey, said to have inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula.

Bridlington has lots of attractions including its famous Spa and John Bull Candy Kingdom.

Filey's best asset is its beaches and the fact you can find fossils of dinosaurs if you're lucky.

Filey also includes the Evron Centre which has events throughout the year.

Just over an hour from Humble Bee, discover Hull, one of the country's busiest ports and also home to The Deep.

York needs no introduction with its Minster and National Railway Musuem.
