Guided walk on the wolds!

£15 per family pass up to 2 adults 3 children

Circular walk from Humble Bee Farm through the Yorkshire Wolds and back to Humble Bee. Please bring a picnic, and drinks as we will stop half way for a lunch break. Outdoor clothing and footwear is advised.

The Yorkshire Wolds is a hidden gem full of wildlife. Margaret Boyd, our local wildlife expert will be leading this walk so that we can spot all the wonderful wildlife that inhabits the local area. As we walk down the dale the hawthorn should be in full bloom, dotted across the hillside, along with other wildflowers nestled in the valley bottom or under the hedgerows. Common blue and marbled white butterflies are target species in the Wolds but there will be plenty of other species to attract our attention.The area is also a great place for skylarks and if we are lucky, curlews. The evocative calls of these two birds are a sure sign that spring has arrived and they are successfully breeding in the Wolds. Other farmland birds such as yellowhammer, linnet, reed bunting and goldfinches are sure to be spotted along the way. We will be walking at a steady pace to make sure that we can enjoy all the wildlife that the Wolds has to offer, so join us on this fantastic walk from the farm
