We recently had our very first Mini Farmer Experience here at Humble Bee Farm, and it was FANTASTIC!
In fact, it was so popular, we’ve decided to run them every Monday and every Thursday at 4pm, with the last date being Thursday 29th August 2019.
PLEASE NOTE THURSDAY 15TH’s MINI FARMER EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY 16TH AT 9AM!
The first Mini Farmer experience took place earlier this month and Farmer Percy and his new recruits carried out a number of farming tasks here at ‘the place to be’!
The farming tasks included feeding the ducks with some tasty food.
Another job was bottle-feeding Larry the Lamb, always a popular part of the experience!
Larry is a very friendly lamb and enjoys meeting all our guests here at Humble Bee.
Other tasks which are very important including checking on the sheep and the cows in their summer pastures.
And who could forget checking for a fresh egg too, while keeping an eye on our chucks.
Being a mini farmer also involves keeping an eye on our sows and their piglets, particularly in the hot weather.
Meet at Reception at 4pm and be sure to wear some farmer-like clothes including waterproof shoes and coats and always wash your hands afterwards.
Proceeds from our first event went to St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough and we hope to do the same with our next Mini Farmer Experiences.
