Lambing Experience Weekends for guests staying with us! Meet Farmer Percy & His Team, weekends (Friday/Saturday) in March 2025 and early April 2025
Join Farmer Percy in the Lambing Barn at 10am for our Springtime lambing experience on Saturdays and be inspired by this busy time of the farming year.
Farmer Percy will have exciting updates for us, as our flock of ewes have been scanned in preparation for our fast approaching Lambing Season!
The ewes have been pampered and pedicured ready for lambing season!
- A chance to bottle feed OR hold a lamb
- Visit the maternity ward to see all our expectant ewes
- You could see a lambing being born
- Meet Farmer Percy and our two sheep dogs, Alife and Madge
- Capture your memories by taking a photo with a lamb
- Follow our Sheep Trail around the farm to find a secret word
- Meet the rest of the farm yard gang, including Tilly the Pony, Jessica & Daisy the Donkeys, guinea pigs, goats and alpacas
- The Lambing Barn is open 24/7 for guests to spend some quiet time with our flock, but don’t miss Farmer Percy’s slot at 10am on the Saturday
- Visit The Hive for hot drinks and lite bites
This experience is free to attend if you book your holiday accommodation for the relevant dates subject to availability. Please arrive in time for 10am start, event is approx 60 mins long.
Please note: pregnant women not advised to enter the lambing area. No dogs allowed in the lambing barn, thank you.

Humble Bee Farm Lambing FAQs for Guests Staying With us.
When do the Farmer Percy Lambing Session take place?
These take place on the Saturday morning during your stay with us at 10am.
How long does it last?
The experience with Farmer Percy and the lambs will last approximately 45 to 60 mins.
Can I visit the lambing barn at other times.
Yes you can, please note dogs are not permitted. Children must be accompanied.
Please note there will be health and safety signage in place around the site, so please be aware of them. PLEASE BE AWARE TOUCHING OF THE ANIMALS IS ENTIRELY AT THE CUSTOMERS OWN RISK. PREGNANT WOMEN ARE ADVISED TO AVOID ALL CLOSE CONTACT WITH SHEEP DURING THE LAMBING SEASON.
Once you have your tickets then make your way to the lambing shed where the Lambing Crew will be waiting.
There are photo opportunities around the site and visit The Hive and our onsite Shop.
How does the experience last?
The experience will last approximately 45 minutes but you are welcome to stay on the farm as long as you wish to enjoy the event.
Will the event be busy?
We cap the numbers for each event, however there will be other families attending at the same time as you and have a busy feel.
Everyone will get their turn so we ask guests to be patient. If you prefer a quieter session, we suggest the Wednesday slots which are ideal for home ed and SEN children. You can join us for the day for the Wednesday sessions providing you have a day ticket (tariff applies).
Do I need warm clothes is it indoors?
This event takes place both indoor and outdoor on a working farm, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Can we take photos of the sheep?
Yes – you are very welcome to take as many photos as you wish during this event.
Are dogs allowed?
No – strictly no dogs allowed in the lambing area.
You can bring your dog with you and he/she must be on a lead but MUST NOT enter the lambing area or be left unattended at any time.
Washing of hands
You MUST wash your hands before eating and drinking.
We have two shower blocks onsite where hands can be washed thoroughly.
Is there food and drinks available to purchase?
Yes, we will have The Hive, open to purchase hot and cold food, Plus snacks, sweet treats and hot/cold drinks. Please note that these are not included in the ticket price.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Lambs and ewes do not like lots of noise so remember we have a farm walk and an outdoor play area if children want to walk/play.
There is basic first aid available onsite at the Reception during events times.
