ACCESS STATEMENT
This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, however it does aim to describe the main facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors. All measurements taken as accurately as possible. Access to our campsite: Humble Bee Farm has two flat hardstanding pitches with electric. These are suitable for one small to medium tourer per pitch and one vehicle, and up to a family of four on each pitch. These pitches are located on the left hand side of site opposite the duck pond. We also have up to eight non-electric pitches at the bottom of our site for up to eight small to medium tents. One tent per pitch policy applies with one car per pitch, and up to a family of four on each pitch. The camping area is grass only and is on a slight slope. We allocate pitches to customers who book with us. For further details: phone 01723 890437 or email info@humblebeefarm.co.uk. Pre-Arrival: All bookings are made and confirmed prior to arrival. For detailed directions please refer to our website www.humblebeefarm.co.uk. Directions: Humble Bee Farm can be reached from the A64 then by joining the A1039 at Staxton; or it can be reached from the A165 then joining the A1039 near Filey. Car Parking and Arrival: There is a car park for arrivals and one car per pitch is permitted. Once guests have checked in at Reception, then they can proceed down the site to the allocated pitch. You will need to be aware of our Terms and Conditions about noise levels, guest numbers, dog policy, etc. Children’s Play Area: The play area is located at the bottom of the site next to the football field. BBQ Hut: This is available for guests of Humble Bee Farm to hire in advance. Please see our separate access statement for this facility. Driveway and Farm Walks: A tarmac drive forms the access to the site from the public road to the Reception/Shop area and car park and extends down the site as far as the camping bell tent section.
The main drive has a sharp bend and a descent into the site. There are several farm walks around the site that follow grass margins around certain fields. These tracks are suitable for rambling and dog walks (dogs must be kept on a lead at all times). Correct footwear must be worn given the uneven surface of the field margins. Toilets and Showers: There are two well-placed shower blocks on the site. The main facilities are positioned in a relatively central position and include: ladies and gents facilities and an accessible family toilet and shower room. This facility block also has a kitchen with sinks, fridge and freezer facilities. There is an additional toilet block just behind the Shop/Reception, including three shower cubicles, three toilets, a hair dryer and a sink. Shop/Reception: This is usually open during office hours and has a stone ramp on the approach to the main door which has a one inch ‘lip’. The Shop includes cold drinks, souvenirs and basic supplies during the peak season. The Reflection Garden: Our new Reflection Garden is at ground levels with slated paths, timber chairs and lots more. There are two gates to access the garden. The Hive: Open at selected times this also had an entrance door with a small ‘lip’ and patio doors which can be opened during warm weather. There is a small breakfast bar with stools inside The Hive. BBQ Hut: We have a bbq hut which is available to hire by our guests subject to availability. Please see our separate access statement for the BBQ Hut. Dining Areas: Outside The Hive and the Shop there is a flat dining area with patio chairs and tables. Nearest hospital with an A&E Department is Scarborough General, Woodlands Drive, Scarborough YO12 6QL. Please note there is no mobile signal at Humble Bee Farm.

REVIEWS
Party of 12 for 5 days, 4 nights, aged from 13 – 80. My parent’s 59th wedding anniversary collided with the week my teenage nephews go camping (with Uncle M), so we combined the 2. The staff could not have been more helpful from the beginning to end to make sure we had a great time. We had 3 tent pitches and one ‘deluxe wigwam’ (a log cabin with running water and a log-fired hot tub). We had a real fire every night and toasted marshmallows telling scary stories. The on site shop, tumble dryers, etc all made life a little easier and being out of telephone reception meant we really enjoyed our time together. Great going Humble Bee Farm.
