Thixendale and Whisperdale
NEW for 2027, opening in time for lambing this March.
Set in the wild, wonderful Yorkshire countryside, Thixendale and Whisperdale are the only two superior lodges on our site, which makes them something truly special. With just two to choose from, each one feels exclusive, private and made for slowing down. Each sleeps up to six guests (a maximum of four adults and two children), making them ideal for a family escape.
A fully glazed end panel runs the width of each lodge, so the view is with you from the moment you wake. Inside, birch ply lining and oak flooring give the feel of a beautifully built cabin, with a designer kitchen, a private ensuite shower room, a private double bed and two double sofa beds. It’s heated throughout, so it’s just as cosy in the depths of winter as it is on a summer evening.
Step outside and this part is all yours: a covered pergola strung with festoon lighting, a private hot tub, and deep, comfortable seating. Slide the doors across for privacy, light the stove (we’ll leave a bag of wood to get you started), cook on the charcoal barbecue and stay out under the stars for as long as you like. Children are free to run and explore in a safe, open space nearby.
Bedding and towels are provided, there’s wifi and Freely TV, and your four-legged friends are welcome too. The sofa beds aren’t made up on arrival, but we’re happy to arrange this in advance for an additional cost.

BBQ HUT
Book our BBQ hut, built by hand by the Derbyshire-based company Arctic Cabins from sustainable Arctic pine. Available to hire for your special occasion here at Humble Bee Farm, offering Scandinavian cosiness which allows you to enjoy a delicious BBQ, whatever the weather! Situated in a peaceful part of our site, perfect for a family or friends’ gathering, booking required at £100 for one evening. We can also provide a locally-sourced bbq pack (please inform us of any food intolerances).
Seats 16 guests, however due to current government guidance the maximum guests is currently six persons ONLY. The six guests using the BBQ hut will need to socially distance and wear masks if appropriate. There a sanitisers around the site and also hand washing facilities in the toilets and showers.
