Filey and Fun Things for the Family To Do!

Filey is famous for its golden sands which stretch for miles when the tide is out.

Building sandcastles, flying kites and searching for fossils are just three things you can do by the sea!

Filey is well known as one of the Yorkshire Coast’s seaside resorts and it is geared up for family entertainment, some of which is free to use!

Filey Skate Park

You will find this free facility in West Avenue

Bring your skateboard and scooters and there is parking nearby.

Glen Gardens

The Glen Gardens were built in the 1830s, this open space includes wooden sculptures, a lovely play area, a café and space for ball games.

There is a boating lake (ticket prices apply), open during busy times.

Filey Paddling Pool

This has recently been refurbished and is located on the Promenade.

Filey Pitch and Putt

Providing 18-holes of golfing fun for families, it has a car par nearby.

You can hire clubs and it’s regarded as one of the nicest of its kind along the coast.

Filey Promenade and Coble Landing

This lovely walk above Filey Bay includes pavement art, sculptures and more.

The Coble Landing is named after a local type of fishing boat.

There you will find cafes, amusements, the RNLI shop, and lots more, along with public toilets.

Other things to do include fun rides for the kids.

Filey Bandstand

A tradition for many a seaside resort, Filey Bandstand is one of the finest along the Yorkshire Coast.

Concerts take place in the Summer.

Filey Country Park

A great place to spot wildlife, fly kites and you can join the Cleveland Way National Trail near here.

Spectacular views of Filey Brigg and beyond are also visible on clear days.
