Our Guide to Glamping!

If you are first time glampers here at Humble Bee Farm, or you’ve been before and need a refresher, here’s our guide to getting the best out of your glamping experience here at Humble Bee Farm!

You can buy all fire pit timber, stove packs and bbq charcoal from our reception area along with souvenirs, treats and other essentials.

We’ve also got The Hive, our cafe bar which offers a tasty takeaway menu, barista coffee, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. The Hive has outdoor seating and is open for breakfast sandwiches, pastries and evening lite bites in the main season. We host burger nights and pizza nights during the summer season. The Hive is open from February to November each year at selected times.

Premium Lodge Cabins

If you’ve booked a Premium Wigwam Lodge, this superb glamping pod takes up to a family of 6 (4 adults maximum) and includes a spacious shower room with toilet, shower, and wash basin and towel rail; a fixed double bed; a dining area with four chairs, well-facilitated kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, pans, crockery and cutlery for six and washing up items.

Outside you will find outdoor dining furniture and of course you have access to your very own private electric hot tub.

We only provide bedding and towels for guests booked and some guests choose to bring additional towels if they wish. 

You can also have up 2 dogs per lodge (tariff applies) and up to 2 cars. The Premium Lodges are tucked away in a quiet part of the site so you can enjoy a relaxed glamping experience.

Running Water Deluxe Cabins

Booked a Running Water Deluxe Wigwam Cabin? Then you have en-suite facilities including shower, toilet and wash basin with towel rail; then you have a kitchenette with hob and sink, toaster, kettle, fridge, microwave, dining table and four chairs; bedding for the double bed, crockery and cutlery for four guests. We also provide a couple of pans and basic washing up items. We don’t provide any towels so please bring your own. You will also need to bring all children’s bedding if you’ve booked the little ones in for a stay. There are also twinkly fairy lights inside too!

Outside each Running Water Deluxe, there is a picnic table, a charcoal bbq and fire pit. 

Best of all, if you’ve booked a Running Water Deluxe cabin, you have your own wood fired hot tub which we can light for you for an additional charge. 

Each Running Water Deluxe takes up to a family of 4 plus up to 2 dogs (pooch tariff applies). One car per cabin permitted.

Nomadic Yurts 

Our 5m circular Nomadic Yurts include a double bed with bedding provided; 2 futons (for children only) without bedding; a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge along with a stove burner and a small table. 

Outside there is a picnic table, fire bowl and charcoal bbq and one parking space. 

Each Yurt has a lockable door, a stargazer window and one car parking space. 

You will need to bring bedding for the futons, towels, all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, glassware, washing up items etc.

Camping at Humble Bee Farm

We also have our camping pitches (non-electric for small to medium tents) and just 2 electric pitches, each one suitable for a tourer or a motorhome. 

Our onsite facilities include showers, toilets and a small kitchen area.  We also have our family shower and toilet which is also accessible for a wheelchair.

We also have three luxury holiday cottages, two with hot tubs, here at our working farm, and our very own seaside holiday apartment, St Kitts, in nearby Filey.

What To Do While You Are Here

Humble Bee Farm includes three walks to enjoy, starting with a short 30-minute stroll or two longer ones that take in the stunning Yorkshire Wolds.

We also have our farmyard gang, including chickens, guinea pigs, ducks, Tilly our Shetland Pony, cows, sheep, pigs and our duck pond.

Our Reception and Shop has lots of tasty treats, souvenirs, essentials such as milk, bread, butter and eggs at busy times; we also stock ice cream in the summer and we are licensed to sell alcohol.

The Hive is our onsite bar which serves takeaway food including breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, children’s meals, barista coffee, chilled drinks, and snacks. The Hive is open from February to November at selected times.

We host events at certain times of the year including lambing in March, Easter celebrations, summer events, Halloween and Bonfire Night.

Humble Bee is open 12 months a year (with the exception of the Yurts, Bell Tents and non-electric pitches).
