“Glamping Lodge Exceeded My Expectations!”

Here at Humble Bee Farm, we welcome couples and families and one of the best ways to explain what Humble Bee is all about is for us to ask our guests what they love about ‘the place to be!’

The Field family joined us along with the Williams family in our new Wigwam® Lodges, which arrived onsite back in February, just before lockdown. These accommodate up to a family of two adults and four children in each.

Lydia and partner along with their two children aged one year and five years told us all about the adventures they’vehad while staying on our working farm this summer. Humble Bee Farm is located between Scarborough and Filey so is ideal for hitting the beaches and taking trips inland to discover the area, all with social distancing measures in place of course!

First of all, Lydia said: “The Lodge exceeded all my expectations! The Humble Bee team have thought everything through in terms of what they provide for their guests. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want including the smaller considerations such as cling film, tin foil and similar items.”

The Field family also enjoyed the powerful shower in the bathroom, the provision of towels (although guests are asked to bring additional hot tub towels) and enjoyed the pull-out beds which were made up at night ready for sleeping soundly after an enjoyable day exploring the area!

Lydia went on to say how much she enjoyed the outdoor area including the private electric hot tub, the outdoor furniture and the fire pit.

The Field family also booked the beach hut which is located in Scarborough’s beautiful North Bay. The beach hut is in an elevated position above the beach itself and has a grassed area to the front.

The Field family also made the most of what our lovely part of Yorkshire had to offer by visiting a selection of attractions close the Humble Bee.

With so many to choose from, the Field family went for a nice mix and visited Flamingo Land near Malton, the impressive stately home of Castle Howard, also near Malton and the North Bay Railway which runs from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills in Scarborough featuring miniature steam locomotive, close to the historic water chute.

Lydia also said: “We also had a lovely cliff top walk along Flamborough, with the amazing lighthouse in full view; we also visited Filey Brigg at low tide.”

During these very unusual times, the team at Humble Bee have also provided a special pack in line with Covid-19 measures (face mask; hand sanitiser; gloves) so everyone feels safe and secure.

Lydia said: “We have been so impressed with the Humble Bee Farm experience.”
