Humble Bee Farm’s rural campsite includes five non-electric tent pitches and two electric pitches suitable for tourers or camper vans.

With good facilities and a peaceful atmosphere, camping at the place to ‘bee’ is pitch perfect on our working farm.

You can hire one of our firepits and toast marshmallows!

Humble Bee Farm’s camping site is small and surrounded by the Yorkshire Wolds.

Dog and child friendly, you can explore our farm walks and see our livestock in the fields.

Our campsite is suitable for one small to medium tent and a car per pitch.

We also have two ehu hardstanding pitches suitable for a motorhome, camper van or medium tourer per pitch.

The non-ehu pitches nestled in a peaceful meadow open from Spring to early Autumn.

The hard standing pitches are open all year round subject to availability.

Love the Great Outdoors?

Camping is a fun way to enjoy the great outdoors.

We welcome first timers and seasoned campers alike.

Our site has two shower and toilet blocks, a wash up area, a waste disposal, fresh water taps, an onsite shop and reception, The Hive Café Bar (takeaway only)* , and indoor and outdoor children’s play areas.

We also have our indoor children’s play area, suitable for younger children, called Mini Bee’s Play Barn, open at selected times.

Humble Bee has a football field, three farm walks, the farmyard gang including our cheerful chucks, and access to WiFi**

Our Shetland Pony, Tilly, can be taken for a walk in the main season (if she’s willing!).

We also have resident sheep, pigs, cows, ducks, donkeys, hens and guinea pigs.

It’s pizza night on Saturdays (pre-ordered pizzas only).

As we are such a small, peaceful site, booking is essential to secure your pitch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pitch do I get when I book? You will be allocated either a spacious electric hook up pitch OR a non-ehu pitch on grass which will take one small to medium tent, one car, a family of four and one dog.

What type of pitches do you have? We have two ehu hard standings which will take one motorhome, one tourer OR one campervan per pitch.

There is space for one vehicle and a family of up to four per pitch with one dog (please note pooch tariffs apply).

What about other pitches? We have five non-electric pitches suitable for small to medium tents only, for up to a family of four and one car.

Are these pitches near each other? As we are positioned in a very peaceful valley, the hard standing pitches and non-ehu pitches are separate to each other. The former is near the duck pond and the latter being placed towards the bottom of the site.

What Can You Do at Humble Bee Farm?

Did you know we also have our new Reflection Garden for some peaceful thinking time.

Our BBQ Hut which can be hired for a nightly charge and you can also hire our beach hut in North Bay, Scarborough (all subject to tariffs and availability).

During the high season there is the Mini Farmer Club with Farmer Percy.

We also have annual events such as Lambing Weekends, Walking Events, Halloween and Bonfire Night.

What About The Hive Café Bar?

The Hive is Humble Bee’s very own Café Bar which offers delicious snacks, pastries, hot meals, fresh barista coffee and alcoholic beverages.

There is outdoor seating available and a small indoor breakfast bar for guests to use.

Do You Allow Firepits?

We provide firepits and timber so you cannot bring your own with you.

There is a nightly charge for this facility which really makes for a great camping experience

You can bring you own raised bbq as we don’t allow bbqs on the grass.

We sell bbq charcoal and firepit timber and firelighters in both the Shop and The Hive.

What Other Facilities Do You Have?

There is a small shared kitchen with sinks, a microwave and a communal fridge.

One of our shower cubicles is a family one which has disabled access.

Our shop and the Hive Café Bar have a sloped access, outdoor seating, and picnic tables.

Where Are You Based?

Humble Bee Farm is perfectly placed between the seaside resorts of Filey and Scarborough which are stunning locations on the Yorkshire Coast.

Attractions include the SeaLife Sanctuary, Peasholm Park, Filey Brigg, gorgeous beaches and lots more.

The nearest village to Humble Bee Farm is Flixton which includes a pub.

Anything Else I Need to Know

We are definitely NOT a party site! We don’t allow any music or parties of any sort.
We operate a low noise policy after 9pm EVERY NIGHT!
We are also careful about group bookings.
Due to our low noise policy, anyone wanting to book up three pitches (and no more) for three families must call us to discuss before any bookings can be made.
Our pitches are designed for small to medium tents only. We don’t accept large or very large tents.
